Description

Guided endodontics is an innovative means of enhancing the precision and accuracy of endodontic procedures. The presenters will share their experience with this emerging technology and its impact on the future of the endodontic discipline.

Speakers

Paula_Villa2
Dr. Paula Villa
Conference title: Dynamically Guided Endodontic Microsurgery

Synopsis: Dynamic navigation offers us the possibility of CBCT monitoring, in real time, the location of surgical instruments, becoming a tool that facilitates conservative access to surgical sites and facilitates the integrity of anatomical structures. All things related to the application of this technology in endodontic microsurgery will be discussed in this conference.
Niraj_Kinariwala
Dr. Niraj Kinariwala
Conference title: Guided Endodontics: Challenges and Limitations

Synopsis: Guided Endodontics  is an innovative science of enhancing accuracy and success of endodontic treatments with high difficulty. Dynamic navigation is state of the art technology providing real-time navigation intra-orally. It requires a learning curve to perform guided treatments with accuracy.

This lecture will cover all the challenges encountered with planning and clinical application of Guided Endodontic procedures. Difficulties with armamentarium, ergonomics and limitations of this technology will be explored in this enlightening session. At end of the session, participants will learn how to use this science effectively to execute accurate and predictable treatments.

Warley_Tavares
Dr. Warley Tavares
Conference title: Guided endodontics in complex scenarios

Synopsis: Guided Endodontics in the resolution of calcified anterior and posterior teeth and their fibre post removal.

Different surgical approaches of guided endodontics in complex scenarios.

New applications of guided endodontics.

Gergely_Benyocs
Dr. Gergely Benyőcs
Conference title: Static guided endodontics for Posterior teeth

Synopsis: Static guided endodontics has been successfully used for anterior teeth. However, with caution, this method can also be applied to premolar and molar teeth. What are the limitations? How to plan the guide for posterior teeth? In order to  avoid faliures, which steps are suggested to follow?

During my presentation, we will go through this topics. I will show also my failures and successful cases, with step by step detailed protocols.

Sameer_Jain2
Dr. Sameer Jain
Conference title: Evidence-based Guided Endodontics

Synopsis: This presentation will focus on the judicious integration of systematic assessments of clinically relevant scientific evidence, relating to the incorporation of digital guided technology with the dentist’s clinical expertise for complex patient’s treatment needs and preferences.
Bobby_Nadeau2
Dr. Bobby Nadeau
Conference title: Integration of Dynamic Navigation with the Surgical Operating Microscope

Synopsis:The Surgical Operating Microscope is an integral part of the endodontic practice. Dynamic Navigation is an emerging technology that has the potential to increase the efficiency of endodontic treatment as well as patient-centered outcomes. Any new technology should not interfere with the already established and proven practice workflow. Different ways of integrating Dynamic Navigation with the Surgical operating Microscope will be discussed in this presentation.
Julian González2

Dr. Julián González García
Conference title: CBCT in guided Endodontics

Synopsis: Guided endodontics is possible thanks to the integration of 3D technologies that are within our reach today, its accuracy will largely depend on acquisition related factors and the required data processing, the relevance of all these factors will be discussed at the conference.

Felipe_Restrepo
Dr. Felipe Restrepo
Conference title: Guided Tooth Autotransplant

Synopsis: Tooth transplantation has proven to be a predictable procedure to replace missing or poor prognosis teeth. In this conference we will discuss how today 3D technologies enable the virtual planning of the procedure to accurately determine the position of the donor tooth, reduce extra-alveolar time and, thus, improve prognosis.
Mark_Antal2

Dr. Mark Antal
Conference title: Static Guided Endodontic Microsurgery

Synopsis: Surgical endodontic treatment could be indicated when nonsurgical retreatment seems impractical or unlikely to improve the previous results. Traditional surgical endodontic treatments had their limitations, with a success rate up to 59% cited in some articles. The new era of dentistry, where surgical microscopes and ultrasonic retrograde preparation, so as MTA or bioceramics are available has lead to a re-discovery of root end surgeries  by several operators. Some literature is stating up to 93,5% of success rate. Moreover these, static guidance seems to be a new tool to enhance success and help operators during the interventions. Are these numbers realistic? Are we able to perform a better and more predictable result using these new tools and options? How reliable is static guidance and what are its limitations? During this lecture we will discuss the advantages so as disadvantages of these interventions together with the most difficult part of it, that is the learning curve that leads to a successful endodontic surgery. Participants will understand the methods to prepare for a guided endodontic surgery, so as its process and the most common difficulties.
