Maternal and child oral health. Pregnancy gingivitis. Caries as a Risk Factor during pregnancy. Diagnosis of caries risk: anamnesis, clinical examination and complementary tests. Prevention and management protocols based on risk assessment. Common preventive techniques, alternatives for remineralization.

Oral health education in pregnant women and infants. Oral care of the pregnant woman and its implications on the oral health of the infant. Oral examination of the newborn. Congenital defects of the mouth or malformations. Oral pathology in infants. Lactation. Tooth eruption.

Early childhood caries: prevention and treatment based on Minimum Intervention Dentistry. Reflections on the role of the pediatric dentist.
