Osseodensification using the DENSAH System
THEORETICAL-PRACTICAL COURSE
Dr. Salah Huwais & Dr. Nelson Pinto
Madrid, May 20, 2023
Description
Osseodensification is the surgical technique based on taking advantage of bone plasticity by means of special drills with which the preparation of the implant bed is achieved without removing bone.
The concept of Osseodensification is contrary to the removal of bone; Through the use of “Densah drills” that are compatible with any implant system, the bone tissue is not removed but compacted, preserving the bone volume. When a Densah bur is rotated at the correct speed counterclockwise with copious irrigation, the bone densifies as it is dynamically compacted by compaction autograft or “osseodensification”. The result is a perfectly cylindrical and densified osteotomy, keeping the bone volume intact.
Osseodensification: optimize the site, optimize the result.
- Review the long-term clinical, histological, and biomechanical evidence for bone densification.
- Learn and practice the clinical versatility of bone densification.
- How bone can be preserved, plastically expanded, and condition improved in a controlled method.
- The effect of osseodensification on implant stability for immediate or early loading.
- Risk control and management of complications.
- Combination of bone densification with the use of L-PRF.
- Practical workshop using bone specimen and specific model.
