The S.M.A.R.T. It was developed by Dr. Ernesto Lee to optimize the predictability of bone grafts in the aesthetic area, avoiding complications, soft tissue defects and loss of papilla. The technique uses laparoscopic principles to facilitate the treatment of complex situations, including vertical increases; and has the potential to significantly impact the future of bone regeneration.

Compared with traditional ROG techniques or block grafts, S.M.A.R.T. It is simple, efficient, and of great application; reducing the duration of treatment, costs and morbidity for our patients. The original article by Dr. Ernesto Lee reports the results of 60 sites, with 30 months of follow-up, and human histology. *

Dr. Ernesto Lee has been the Postgraduate Director of Periodontal Prosthesis, Clinical Director of the Postgraduate Periodontology, Director of the Implantology Fellowship and Clinical Professor at the University of Pennsylvania for 19 years. Dr. Lee has given more than 200 lectures and is the author of several publications, including the 3rd Edition of the Esthetics in Dentistry text, in collaboration with Ronald Goldstein, Stephen Chu and Christian Stappert. Dr. Ernesto Lee developed the S.M.A.R.T. to address complex situations in the aesthetic zone.

Implants with buccal deficits have been problematic for the profession for years. S.M.A.R.T. It offers the possibility of regenerating the absent bone proactively and with predictable results. S.M.A.R.T. It requires specialized surgical training and instruments. The company S.M.A.R.T. Biomedical will offer a training course on February 28 and 29, 2020, in the city of Madrid.

S.M.A.R.T. It allows the reconstruction of the buccal plate on implants without the risks of traditional ROG. S.M.A.R.T does not require complex flaps, block grafts, screws or membranes. Only a small incision is used and the benefits include decreased treatment period and better results, with less pain, less swelling and fewer complications.

Dr. Lee introduced the S.M.A.R.T. at the Osseointegration Academy in 2017. The results of his research were published in the prestigious International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. S.M.A.R.T. it is the only minimally invasive bone graft technique with clinical documentation, research and human histology; offering unique solutions and not affordable results with other approaches.

ECTS/certification: 3 credits

S.M.A.R.T. It is a specific protocol based on the next generation of minimally invasive surgical techniques and bone regeneration mediated by growth factors.

The technique is carried out WITHOUT FLAGS, WITHOUT SCREWS, and WITHOUT MEMBRANES requiring the use of patented methods and instruments. The surgical kit is offered in conjunction with a 2-day training course.
