BLATZ at the
core of current
restorative dentistry
From minimally invasive to
full- mouth implant reconstructions

Dr. Markus Blatz
Join this two-day advanced course with one of the world's leading authorities in restorative and esthetic dentistry. Learn to make evidence-based decisions, from minimally invasive ceramic restorations to full-mouth implant reconstructions.
OVERVIEW
Restorative dentistry is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. New ceramic materials, current adhesive protocols and digital workflows now allow more conservative, esthetic and long-lasting treatments than ever before. They also demand sound clinical judgment to choose the right material, preparation and technique for each case. BLATZ at the core of current restorative dentistry is a two-day advanced course led by Prof. Dr. Markus B. Blatz, Chair at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and one of the world’s most influential researchers and educators in dental ceramics, adhesion and digital dentistry.
Day one focuses on evidence-based restorative and esthetic dentistry. It covers esthetic treatment planning, photography and digital smile design, mock-ups and the flowable injection technique. It also covers minimally invasive ceramic restorations for anterior and posterior teeth: case selection, preparation design, adhesive protocols, deep margin elevation and rubber dam isolation. Day two moves on to the most demanding scenarios. It addresses when and how to restore severely compromised and endodontically treated teeth, and how to get the most out of zirconia, including resin-bonded bridges and the keys to durable bonding. It closes with material selection for implant-supported restorations, from single units to full-mouth reconstructions.
The course concludes with the dental laboratory’s perspective and the clinician–technician interface, a decisive link for esthetic and functional predictability. Each day ends with a discussion of clinical cases and Q&A to help you translate these concepts into your daily practice. It’s a unique opportunity to learn first-hand, in Madrid, the philosophy Prof. Blatz has developed over more than three decades of clinical practice, research and teaching.
Get ready to confidently choose the right material, preparation and adhesive protocol for every case, and deliver esthetic, conservative and long-lasting restorations to your patients
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Apply evidence-based decision-making in restorative and esthetic dentistry, integrating esthetic planning, photography, digital smile design and mock-ups.
Select cases and design truly minimally invasive preparations for ceramic restorations in anterior and posterior teeth.
Master current adhesive protocols and complementary techniques such as deep margin elevation, rubber dam isolation and the flowable injection technique.
Determine when and how to restore severely compromised and endodontically treated teeth, choosing wisely between partial and full coverage.
Understand the properties of zirconia and achieve durable resin bonds, including zirconia resin-bonded bridges as a minimally invasive option.
Select the right material for each implant indication, from single and multiple-unit restorations to full-mouth reconstructions, optimizing esthetics, function and longevity.
Optimize communication with the dental laboratory through digital workflows, from clinical planning to the final restoration.
