L-PRF INTERNATIONAL COURSE
A New Concept of Natural Regeneration
Clinical Applications of Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF)

Dr. Nelson Pinto

Dr. Marc Quirynen
Explore the full potential of L-PRF in modern implantology with a comprehensive two-day course combining in-depth theoretical lectures, clinical case reviews, recorded step-by-step surgeries, and an exclusive hands-on workshop on anatomical models
About the Course
Unlock the true potential of natural tissue regeneration in modern dentistry. Tailored for dentists, stomatology doctors, and 5th-year dental students, this intensive program will train you to master Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) protocols. Hosted at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and led by global pioneers Dr. Nelson Pinto and Dr. Marc Quirynen, the course bridges the gap between biological foundations and advanced surgical applications in highly complex clinical scenarios. The experience concludes with a practical hands-on workshop on models, ensuring you acquire immediately applicable clinical skills.
The L-PRF Technique (100% Autologous Innovation)
Following a tooth extraction, the healing process involves modeling and remodeling that leads to expected vertical and horizontal dimensional changes in the edentulous ridge. Traditionally, alveolar ridge preservation has relied on various grafting materials, including xenografts, allografts, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) concentrates.
Today, L-PRF stands out as the latest and most significant development in these protocols. Unlike older methods, patient blood is collected and immediately centrifuged without the addition of any anticoagulants. This allows a natural coagulation process to take place, effortlessly generating a pure L-PRF clot without any biochemical modification of the blood—meaning no thrombin or calcium chloride are required. This purely natural scaffold has revolutionized guided bone regeneration, sinus lift procedures, and the management of challenging tissue defects.
The Learning Experience:
-
Master the Biology of L-PRF: Thoroughly understand its composition, growth factors, and how it stimulates naturally guided tissue regeneration.
-
Sharpen Clinical Judgment: Analyze tissue micro-environments and learn to accurately differentiate between biological and surgical timing.
-
Watch the Technique in Action: Study step-by-step recorded surgeries covering alveolar ridge preservation, bone augmentations, and sinus lifts.
-
Optimize Clinical Protocols: Discover how to avoid common centrifugation errors and simplify membrane preparation for everyday practice.
-
Apply the Knowledge (Hands-on): Participate in a practical alveolar preservation workshop on models, strictly limited to 20 professionals and supervised by Dr. Pinto and Dr. Quirynen.
